MassMutual Portals
As a product design lead at MassMutual, I've been focused on the experiences of our business users — including financial professionals and other corporate users. In addition to small tasks and projects that I've assisted on, I've lead the design effort — including stakeholder management, planning, user research, wireframe design and usability testing — for the following portals.
Strategic Intermediary Portal — Nov. 2018 - Nov. 2020
I am very proud of the work we completed for the Strategic Intermediary Portal - an experience for retirement plan sponsors, third-party administrators and advisors to view and manage their retirement plans. The portal was nearing go-live when MassMutual's retirement business was purchased by Empower Retirement. In addition to this portal, I served as product design lead for the related entitlements portal that was used to credential SIP users.
Over the course of two years, this project included initial stakeholder and user discovery; competitive analysis; conceptual wireframing and visual design; detailed wireframing and visual design; visual quality assurance; extensive documentation and, finally, visual design updates. This portal formed the foundation for the business theme of the Blueprint Design System.

Municipal Guaranteed Investment Contract Portal — Feb. 2019 - May 2019
MassMutual offers guaranteed investment contracts to institutional customers such as municipalities. These contracts offer a guaranteed return for placing funds in a MassMutual account. MassMutual assumes the risk and, over time, has proven its financial prowess. Before the development of this portal, statements for these contracts were delivered via physical mail and email. This portal was the first step toward digitizing this analog business.
